Godly Love
Love, true love, godly love is love that never fails. That truly is the essence of Christmas.
Do You Love Me?
From walking on water and declaring Jesus as the Messiah to his disowning Jesus when accused of being one of His disciples, Peter is a great example of how we can walk with God and yet find ourselves doing things that deny Him and yet Jesus continues to loves us.
He Gave Us the Best
It is a gift of love, love that can’t be found in a nicely wrapped package, or under a beautifully ornate Christmas tree. It is found in the hearts of those who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Complete Joy
The spiritual meaning of joy while it does encompass such feelings, its meaning turns the focus inward into a deep-rooted happiness, a happiness that is not derived on circumstances but in Christ alone and His promises to us.
Joy in Doing His Will
Life’s journeys are often filled with the unexpected and the occasional mishap but if you follow the path God lays out for you, you will find that even in the direst conditions you can experience joy and that joy comes from knowing God is with you.
Peace in Death
But to those who are in Christ while death will come, it is not the end. It is only the beginning because of the understanding and confidence we have in our faith and trust in Christ Jesus.
Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
Picking a baby’s name is a big decision and one of the biggest decisions you will make as a new parent. Your name identifies who you are and is a source of connection to our identity and individuality.
Peace of Mind
“Perfect peace” is trusting in God more than trusting in yourself, exhibiting patience and confidence in Him believing that the outcome is for your good in every situation and circumstance.
The Peace of Christ
As we enter into this second week of Advent, we place our focus on peace. Not peace as the world defines peace but the peace that God ushers in.
The Hope of Christmas
It is no wonder that Advent is the prelude to the ultimate gift that we have already received.
A Christmas Wish
As a small child I remember when the Sears Christmas catalog would come in the mail and how I would flip through it dreaming of what I wanted and hoping in some mysteriously magical way that it would miraculously appear on Christmas morning. Unfortunately it was only a wish, a dream that most often didn’t come true but I refused to let my hope die.
A Ray of Hope
When you’ve spent time with the Lord your encounters with Him should be familiar. So much so that when even in the dark, you can find the light, His light. It is what I refer to as God’s “Ray of Hope.” Jesus is our hope, a light that shines in the dark, and for those whose hope is in Him it will never fail.
The Hope of Advent
Sunday marked the beginning of Advent, a season of preparation. It is a time when Christians spend several weeks in penance, prayer and fasting as we prepare for the coming of Christ.
Happy Thanksgiving
What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than to be reminded of the character and the greatness of God? So read this Psalm with heartfelt gratefulness to the Lord God Almighty!
Bless the Lord
God wants to bless us, He wants to lavish us with heavenly blessings and the most important blessing that He has given us is in the form of His Son, Jesus Christ.
By Our Love
Our love for God should be more than mere words but shown through thoughtful acts for someone else. It is our love for others that conveys our love to God!
A Life of Thankfulness
2020 hasn’t presented itself as a year to remember. It has been head spinning to say the least and that doesn’t even begin to address any personal challenges experienced.
Thanks for answered prayer
God heard Hannah’s prayer and he gave her what she asked for, a son by the name of Samuel. She received what she asked for, but she also made a promise to give him back to God. And she did.
