Peace of Mind

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” (Isaiah 26:3)

What is “perfect peace?” Peace in general is fleeting. Just one situation in our day can change a peaceful day into a nightmare. Yet, God says He will keep us in “perfect peace” when our minds are steadfast on Him. Steadfast minds are minds that do not shift or waver when conditions or situations change. It is those who can see the Lord’s hand in all things. Which does not mean that things will always be easy, however if we remain unwavering in our faith in Him, no matter what the situation, we will experience “perfect peace.” Therein is the key.

“Perfect peace” is trusting in God more than trusting in yourself, exhibiting patience and confidence in Him believing that the outcome is for your good in every situation and circumstance.

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)
