A Life of Thankfulness
“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord (Habakkuk 3:17-18a).”
2020 hasn’t presented itself as a year to remember. It has been head spinning to say the least and that doesn’t even begin to address any personal challenges experienced. Yet, bad times aren’t new and while we look forward for these troublesome times to end, they will come again. But through it all, the Lord God is a sustainer and as much as life is uncertain, God is certain. It is a reason to rejoice in the certainty and the faithfulness of God.
“The Christian’s life should be one of thankfulness to God.” —Charles Spurgeon
