Peace Be With You

“On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.” (John 20:19-20)

It’s one thing to be given a promise but something quite different when the promise is kept. Who could have thought that Jesus could do what He said? Someone dying and coming back to life wasn’t realistic but when Jesus is there anything is possible. Remember Jairus’ daughter, and Lazarus of Bethany. So, if anyone had the power to live after death it’s Christ. And because of His death, we who believe will also know that He will bring us back to life but not life as we know if but life eternal.
