His Comfort

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).”

There are many reasons to praise God and not the least of reasons is His comfort and mercy. God the Father has proclaimed us His children by adoption and with that privilege He has given us full rights and claim to His promises. With this knowledge our hearts find consolation in adversity not because of who we are but because of who He is. His comfort brings strength to endure and to develop spiritual muscle so that we can bravely face adversities with confidence not just for ourselves but also for others who face trouble.

So, today, render praise to God our Father for His compassion and the comfort and strength He gives so that we may bring that same comfort to others.
