Comfort in His Word

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

Every now and then we need encouragement, a word that brings comfort and peace and no greater place to find it then in the word of God. In John chapter 1 and verse 1-2 we hear, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” No greater comfort can we find than in God’s word and it is in His word that we find direction, encouragement, promise, support, love, grace, mercy, deliverance, and so much more. And it is in this word, His word, are the consolations of hope in all of life circumstance.

So the next time you find yourself down hearted, feeling overwhelmed and experiencing despair, remember His word and feel the comfort of His promise and His presence.

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
