See As God Does
“One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?” He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Luke 10:25, 27
It was seemingly a good question, “what should I do to inherit eternal life” but the answer a bit more thought provoking; Love the Lord with all your being but what about loving your neighbor as yourself? It brings into question self-love. If you don't love yourself, how is it possible to love anyone else? Unfortunately, we live in a world that putting others down is commonplace. And when you listen to such rhetoric, it provokes a need to retaliate. It is imperative that people see themselves as God sees them, as God sees you. It is then and only then can one love others.
