“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” Luke 18:1

Prayer, it’s many things. It is communion with God, it is rendering thanksgiving to Him, it is bestowing honor on the One who, no matter what occurs in one’s life, can provide hope and peace. It is that cry for help when it seems hope is lost, it helps you hold onto the feeling that with Christ, anything is possible. And we saw just how much prayer can bring about the seemingly impossible. Seven days ago, we saw a nation pray for an American league football player (Damar Hamlin) who suffered what appeared to be a life threatening injury. But we prayed. Most of us never knew him, never met him, but we identified with the suffering and pain he and his family and his teammates were experiencing and so, people held hands and prayed, a nation banded together and prayed and today we see the results of our prayers.
