If you’ve ever seen those videos with erratic customers who disrespect workers and cause all kinds of havoc, then you understand why it was important for Jesus to instruct us on how to behave. This matters whether someone sees you or not. Jesus not only instructs us to treat others the way you want to be treated but He asks you to look at it as if you are the one being mistreated. How does it make you feel? Not good, right? If Jesus could love His enemies in spite of what they did to Him, who are we? So, even if the recipient of your kindness is not returned, do what is right anyway.
