Renew Your Mind

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)

The world system is against the will of God and God commands us not to be shaped by this common culture, this world system. Instead He commands us to be different, to change not from the outside in but from the inside out.

When you were saved, the Holy Spirit took up residence in you and it is that power that lives inside of all believers that can reshape your thinking and allow you to see things the way God sees them. Through reshaping, God is able to help you see how even the worst of circumstances can produce the perfect will of God. Even the tragic events of this year can accomplish the perfect will of God.

It begins on the inside. Just like a caterpillar becomes a butterfly, it is that cocooning period, the inner working that produces a beauty that can be seen on the outside by all. It changes you but it also changes what you see.
