New Beginnings
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4).”
There is a glimmer of hope on the horizon. The days are getting longer and the bleakness of winter is slowly fading. The sun is peaking through the clouds ushering in a new day, unseen opportunities and a time of new beginnings. It is the time when dormant plants bloom and the sleeping creatures awake. Spiritually speaking spring represents new life, rejuvenation, freshness. No more hunkering down indoors sheltered from the harshness of winter. It is the time that we look forward to Passover and Easter, the time when our life as Christians really began. We were awakened to new life in Christ because He willingly gave His life through His death on the cross. And it was when He rose from the grave new life began and the condemned were set free. Christ’s death changed our life and gave us new life.
A new day, a new life, a new beginning, that’s spring, that’s Christ! Praise God!
