The Power of Prayer

Power of Prayer.png

“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it (John 14:14).”

You pray but you don’t get the answer or you don’t get the answer you want. Jesus said we could ask anything in His name and He would do it. But does He really mean anything? Actually He does. Haven’t you ever heard the phrase “a man is only as good as his word”? It means that the character of the one who is making the promise or giving his word is what will determine if they can be trusted to keep it or not. And since Jesus is not an ordinary man (He is God incarnate) and since He does not lie He can be trusted to do exactly what He said.

If you really want to see Jesus in action through your prayer, pray in His name. In His name there is no hatred, no deceit, no trickery, no revenge. Praying in His name is praying with authority because His name means something. Praying in His name means praying in power, He can do anything. When you pray in His name you are praying in authority. When you pray in His name you are praying for His glory.
