Light of Hope

“He made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down.” Psalms 104:19

Who does that but God? Placing a light, the moon, to bring light to darkness and the sun, to promote growth and well-being. Metaphorically speaking, one might equate the darkness we experience in life to the moon. In spite of the darkness, God still enables us to see, for no matter how dark it gets, there is a light that shines in darkness (John 1:5). And the sun, well, it is the “Son” Christ our Lord who is light of the world (John 8:12) enabling us to see beyond what our eyes can’t behold.
