His Unshakeable Love

“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:14-19).”

It was a prayer for the Ephesians for their spirit, their inner man the essence of who they were, not mere physical beings/mortals but a people who God had breathed into. It is a prayer for strength from the Father whom they proclaimed as their Lord. A prayer of abiding faith, a connectivity to the Lord God Himself. It is a prayer for the constancy of God’s presence to be implanted in their heart like the trees by the rivers of water that spread its roots, reaching far and wide so much so that it is incomprehensible to human reasoning or understanding. It is a prayer grounded in God’s love!! Nothing can shake it, the wind can’t move it, the seas can’t destroy it, it cannot be measured, it is an everlasting love that is wide, long, high, and deep.

“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else (1 Thessalonians 3:12a)” as His love does for all!
