God’s Great Love
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).”
Love is not love if it is not directed toward someone or something. We are the object of God’s love, of God’s affection. Scripture affirms His love for us. It cannot be understated the lengths He went to convey His feelings toward His creation. Such love can be felt in the love parents have for their children, in the tender care one gives to another, when you take the time to listen to someone who is hurting as well as spending time with others. Even these however cannot begin to demonstrate the depth of the love God has for humankind. When we reject Him He continues to pursue us He doesn’t give up. Everyone should experience that kind of love and you can; “Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).”
His love is the greatest love of all!
“He who is filled with love is filled with God Himself.” Saint Augustine
