Work to Show Your Love of God

“The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it (Genesis 2:15).”

People work for many reasons. Whether it is to support a family, improve life, learn new skills, to make friends, or contribute to your community, work is a way of gaining meaning. But did you know that God’s original design for humanity was work? When God put Adam in the Garden, he was placed there to attend to it, to do the things necessary for its maintenance.

God doesn’t tell us where to work but to work and when we work, to work as if we are working for the Him (see Colossians 3:23). Our work demonstrates our love of God and more importantly it demonstrates His love for us!
