Watching and Waiting

“Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.” Proverbs 8:34

Listening is more than auditory. You can hear someone speaking but if you aren’t given full attention to what is being said you can miss the message. Listening requires paying attention; to not only hear but to understand what is being said. Listening to God requires more than our ears but our heart and our mind.
