Unique

You have searched me, LORD,and you know me.You know when I sit and when I rise;you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down;you are familiar with all my ways.Search me, God, and know my heart;test me and know my anxious thoughts.See if there is any offensive way in me,and lead me in the way everlasting.Psalm 139:1-3;23-24Hiding our true selves from others is living the life of an imposter, similar to the masks worn at Halloween. Living this way is not living an authentic life and could be limiting your God given potential refusing to accept the unique individual He has created you to be (“for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” Psalm 139:14b).Let’s face it, we’re not all the same. If we were all alike that would make us redundant (unessential) and we all have a role in the life we have been given. it’s up to us to pursue the goals and purpose we were created for. Think of it this way, God knows all about us and loves us anyway and if He loves us just as we are then who are we to deny applying that same love to ourselves.Just as God has searched, known, and loves us, seek to know the distinctive person He’s created. In this way you are acknowledging the special person He fashioned which is “you”!
