“My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.” (Proverbs 4:20-22)

The book of Proverbs is full of wisdom but wisdom doesn’t amount to much if you are not able to learn from its teachings.

As the year has progressed there is so much to be frustrated, angry, fearful and disillusioned about but God through His word has given us an anecdote to any such feelings. He tells us to “pay attention” to what He says. God’s word will dispel feelings of negativity and hopelessness.  “Turn ear, listen to the message that the words are conveying in an effort to gain understanding. Once God has your attention and you begin to hear what He is saying He then says, keep them in your sight. In other words, commit them to memory so that when you feel like you’re losing heart, it is His word that will be the salve and serve as a reminder that we need not fear for our God is our help in times of trouble.

"Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God."
