The Power of the Word
Cell phones, landlines, cable, and other devices, if you have any of these you understand that occasionally there is interference. You contact the service provider and they give you a number of reasons for the problem and it is quickly resolved. But there are times when it is not such an easy fix so they send someone to check out the problem. Something is causing the interference and the bottom line is if it is important to you, you are going to be relentless in getting it taken care of.Our lives are complicated. Depending on your role in life, whether you’re married, single, divorced, separated, working, a student, chasing a career path, a stay at home mom or dad, single mom or dad, etc., lots of factors perpetuate interruption. And let’s not forget financial woes, or self-willed children, frail health, fractured families, dysfunctional households, (need I say more?). From minimal to catastrophic it is bewildering and no one can predict if or when they will occur. The bottom line is, when your life is interrupted or suffered interference you want a quick solution, you want it fixed. Where do you go and what do you do? Turn to our help, the word of God!For some the bible is complicated and difficult to understand. There are hundreds of versions of the Bible available today and finding a version you understand should not be prohibitive. So begin with prayer and ask God for spiritual discernment. In God’s word there is a solution for every problem. Nothing is to big or to small. Through His word He offers direction and counsel and it is relevant to life today. It is the way that you get to know and build a relationship with God, to find direction for life, and the source of divine revelation.“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” Romans 1:16
