The Hands of God

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30How comforting it is to hear that those who follow Christ inherit great reward but not only in eternity but in every day life. With so many opportunities for distress and catastrophe He consoles and relieves us from pain because He is our rock and fortress where we may find refuge (Psalm 18:2). He is with us and we with Him. It is a sense of belonging, security, and stability because He is holding us in His hands. Hands caress, comfort, embrace, carry, reach out, direct, grasp, protect, cleanse, and holds tight. And tightly He holds us in His hands.It is the strength of our God, the power of our God, and most importantly the everlasting love of our God that keeps us snugly in His hands and you will never be alone. He reaches out His hands to us, reach out your hands to Him!“Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.”Psalm 89:13
