Tell Your Story

“I will praise you to all my brothers; I will stand up before the congregation and testify of the wonderful things you have done.” Psalm 22:22News anchor Robin Roberts quoted her mother’s words when she said “Make your mess your message”. It was the result of a cancer diagnosis that these words came to life for her. Initially she wasn’t going to share her story but she realized that although she was gravely ill “the best was yet to come”.Our lives are filled with ups and downs, highs and lows, and moments that simply make your heart stop and times like these are not easy to get through. Oftentimes they are the unexpected but God uses our mess as a message, a testimony giving others that may be going through tough times hope.People need to hear how hard your life has been, how you almost lost your life, how your children rebelled your teachings, how your marriage fell apart but not as someone who has no hope. These are our testimonies, the things we have dealt with and God brought us through them. They are the times we trusted God and He was faithful. Everyone needs to hear these stories, stories of unrelenting faith. It is faith that is steadfast because you know God is able to get you to the other side. That does not mean there will not be any scars, sadness or hurt but you get through. So if you have a testimony stand up and tell it! Tell your story, tell of the wonderful things God has done!
