Salvation
February 27, 2019We need salvation! God created a perfect world but when sin entered, it became a corrupt world and we became a part of it. From the beginning He put a plan in place to ensure that His perfect creation would not suffer an eternal death.Consider Adam and Eve, they were given everything they needed to live a wonderful life but when they chose to disobey the instruction that God had given them, sin infiltrated the world (Genesis 3). What was so difficult about following one simple command? Before you start pointing fingers consider your own actions when given clear instruction and sound advice. We can suggest a number of reasons including a need for power and control, ingratitude, and or you don’t believe what you’ve been told. Sin is like being submerged in water flailing and screaming for a lifeguard. Jesus is just such a Lifeguard. All of us need saving and God cares so much about us that He made sure we would be. (“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23)
