Living in Hope in Christ
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” (Romans 8:18, 25)
We’re desirous of better days, of times where we will be healed of the pains and heartaches of the day. We’re tired of turning on the news and seeing how many people have died today. We’re tired of the heartless acts against the disenfranchised and the weak. We’re tired of the constant bickering and fighting. We’re looking for deliverance, we’re seeking peace, we’re standing in hope. And we won’t give up hope that one day things will get better.
It’s hard to be optimistic in a broken world but it is possible if you base your expectation on the One who can turn dire circumstances into to ones of hope. Hope not founded on any one individual’s ability but in Christ the One who can change our mindset such that we fix our eyes on Him and not on our circumstance.
When you live in hope, you live in a place of possibilities and in Him, all things are possible to those who believe.
