Jesus is Real

“Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.” (Luke 2:25-26)

There were a lot of stories going around about the birth of Christ. Were these stories true or not? For a man by the name of Simeon he believed it to be true and it was the presence of the Holy Spirit that confirmed the truth of Christ’s coming, he would see Christ before he died. It was not what he heard but what the Spirit revealed that gave Simeon steadfast faith and that faith was rewarded when he saw Christ. We may hear many claims about Christ, but it is the Spirit that confirms the truth about Christ.
