It's Time to Move On

“for we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7If you’ve ever been stuck in a dead end job or worked in an area tirelessly and find yourself asking “what next”, God may be telling you it’s time to move on. We hold on to what we believe is secure when in actuality nothing is secure. There are times when God will move you because He has more for you. That more may not look like what you perceive or based on financial gain but to facilitate His plans. This does not mean that your needs will not be met because He promises in His word to supply our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). When you follow God, He has to be enough. Not to long ago in a conversation with a dear friend she shared her heart relative to earthly wealth. She is often giving and lives to do so. Her thoughts were just as long as she had a bed to sleep and food to eat that would be enough. In a world and society where obtaining riches is a primary focus she really understands how fleeting this life is and that the true riches are in serving others. As Christians it is what we are called to; to die to ourselves and to serve others.Nothing is guaranteed and one can get caught off guard if looking at the negative outcomes of leaving what appears secure versus following the urge of God telling you it’s time to move on. But as Christians we must remember “we walk by faith and not by sight”.
