Hope In The Midst of Fear

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me (John14:1a).”This virus that has affected the world is a reminder that we should not be putting things off until there is an emergent situation. The result of this procrastination has created harried and frustrated consumers trying to acquire necessary items to address the potential of getting and treating an incurable disease. Understandably it is a scary time and we know that if not COV19 there will be something else we experience that will seek to take our lives. There may be no cure for the things that attack the body; there is something you can do to ensure the outcome of your soul. Not having an emergency plan because you think that it won’t happen to you can result in severe consequences. The crushing impact of COV19 has more than demonstrated the necessity of having a plan for the inevitable. Prayerfully you will not succumb to this current disease and recognize the need to have a plan in place. The harsh reality is we are all going to die. That is jarring to the senses but a real reality and God has a plan in place that is certain and a guarantee if you are willing to accept it. God offers salvation and no greater plan is there for the destiny of your soul. It is a message of salvation to all:“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.0 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved (Romans 10:8b-11).”These are scary times but rest in the assurance and peace God offers. We can’t do anything about the present but there is much that can be done about the future.“Let not your hearts be troubled”.
