Holy Week
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:Who, being in very nature God,did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothingby taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man,he humbled himselfby becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!Philippians 2:5-8Yesterday marked the beginning of Holy Week. It is an opportunity for focus and reflection, a count down to the end of lent where the solemnness of sacrifice and reverence turns to shouts and celebration of the resurrection of Christ. Palm Sunday reminded us of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey. It was a time of reflection, of anticipation, of hope, and of promise. This week let us focus our attention on Christ. Let us desire to know more about Him. May we seek to love others as He loved. See it (Holy week) as an opportunity to identify with Him by being more like Him in attitude and action. Love the unloved, care for the sick , and the widows. Take the time to slow down and spend a few moments in prayer focusing on what Jesus’ coming and most importantly His resurrection means for us but most of all be thankful!
