He Fulfills Promises

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).”

God encouraged Joshua in leading the Israelites to pursue and to possess the land that He had already promised them. It was theirs but they were going to have to do something if they were going to truly obtain it. It was a big task and God knew that Joshua needed reassurance, he needed to be encouraged.

God knows that there will be times when faith wanes but it is in His word that we find the consolation and the guarantee that He will fulfill every promise He’s ever made.

So what big endeavor is He calling you to? Don’t be afraid, the Lord our God will be with you.
