God’s Faithfulness in Prayer
Prayer offers the opportunity to be released from the burdens that plague a soul. But those prayers can’t be to just anyone but to someone who is able to release the pressures that rob and suffocate life. When we pray to our Heavenly Father, we are essentially believing that He can do something about it. And He wants you to cry out to Him because it demonstrates our need for Him and our dependence on Him.
What makes our prayers effective is not what we do but what God has done through His Son. In a nutshell it is His faithfulness. As you read through the scriptures you will find that God has never failed to keep His word. Every promise, proclamation, edict, declaration or otherwise, everything He has ever decreed He has done. This makes Him the perfect One to call out to, to honor, to trust and to believe.
God will not walk away from His children. He loves and cares for them all and is concerned for every detail, every step that they take. And as His child, you can be assured of His ongoing faithfulness, from generation to generation. Just as the love of an earthly father can be trusted and depended on, so much so does the Heavenly Father provide for all of our needs. Such actions by God cause for action from those who belong to Him, to those whom call Him Father and that action is obedience and love.
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.” Psalm 84:11-2
