God's Word

“In the beginning was the word and the word was with God, and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” John 1:1-2Words convey messages and that is what Jesus came to do. To convey a message of the love of God and how that love is demonstrated to us specifically through His Son Jesus Christ. One does not have to possess the ability to read to understand love. Love isn’t only expressed in words; it can be seen and demonstrated through selfless acts of kindness. That is exactly the kind of love that God has for His children and it is His word, His presence that those who love Him will extend to others. Jesus was and is the embodiment of God and is a living voice for us today. It is the word that leads us to repentance and salvation and guides us in our everyday lives. God’s word is healing, encouraging, uplifting, brings peace, strengthens our soul, gives hope, is reassuring, and gives life. In it we gain insight to the world around us and we are able to live free from the weightiness of the world.So not just in word but in deed share the “word”, offer to lend assistance to someone in need, forgive those who have offended you, tell your loved ones how much they mean to you, how much you love them, be courteous and kind, but above all do it without the expectation of anything in return. God’s word is meant to be shared! It can change a life!
