Give Praise to the Lord

“Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always (1 Chronicles 16).”

The ark of God has returned to Israel. The representation of the presence of God formerly lost in battle has now returned to its rightful place. It is a time of rejoicing and celebration but also of consecration and offerings. Worship was instituted and established to be ongoing for the wonderful things God has done.

We’ve lost a few things this year but what we still have is the presence of the living God because He lives inside of us. As we look back, we could accumulate long lists of what has been lost over this last year but we should also look up in hope that God will deliver us from all of the pain and suffering that has been experienced. God is faithful and if you look back through the annals of history you will see that God always keeps His promises, is forever faithful and will again return one day which makes Him worthy of our praise.

So give praise to the Lord the God who is with us for what He has already done but also for what He is going to do. He is our strength; may we seek His face in all things.
