Fight with Love

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3).”

God’s ultimate gift to us was love. Some would say His ultimate gift was Jesus but I contend they are one in the same. God loved so He gave and what He gave was what was most precious to Him, His Son. We hear this love when God said, “this is my Son in whom I am well pleased (Matthew 3:17)”. And this love, this kind of love is what we should fight for, the kind of love that brings unity, making us one in the Spirit.  

It is love the kind of love God gave that will draw us to the table of disagreement to bring about reconciliation, unification, and peace. Love makes us grateful, love makes us hopeful, and love, God’s love, gives us life
