Draw Near

“Come near to God and he will come near to you.” James 4:8aWith all of the distractions and busyness of the day we lose sight of what brings serenity and peace. In the presence of God abides just that. He is there awaiting and desiring to comfort our souls in the midst of chaos. We miss it and we miss Him because we are walking away from Him instead of walking to Him.His arms are open and He wants to spend time with us. We come to Him in prayer as we seek His will and power to get through the day. We seek Him in meditation, as the unexpected appears we find He is already there before us. We seek Him in our hearts as we set our heart to accomplish His will. It is by faith that we are united with Him but it is sin that divides us and places a barrier that separates us from His presence. Yet it is with the confession of sin that we are assured forgiveness and restoration (1 John 1:9).As you draw close to Him you will see He is coming close to you
