Don't Forget

Growing up I was often told “never to forget where you came from”. Before Jesus came we were unable to go directly to God due to our sin nature. After Jesus came He gave us access to God through the Holy Spirit. But we mustn’t be cavalier about our approach to God. The veil that separated us from the holy of holies has been torn and we may now enter in His Holy sanctuary without fear.No longer do we need to have the priest to petition God on our behalf for we have now become the priests; “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).As God’s chosen people, in all of your actions and everything that you do “never forget where you came from”.
