Deep Love
“I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered when I receive news about you. I have no one else like him, who will show genuine concern for your welfare.” Philippians 2:19-20The Apostle Paul had developed a deep love for the Philippians so much so that he used great care when sent Timothy to them. Timothy had proved himself in the way he had served Paul thus demonstrating the characteristics of a loving servant. When you are fully surrendered to Christ you will go wherever He wants you to go and that is not always comfortable. He may remove some of your current relationships and bring the most unlikely people He wants in your life. It is part of the pruning process which is vital for ongoing spiritual growth cutting off relationships that are detrimental to your ongoing development (John15:2).When Paul sent Timothy to the Philippians he wanted to ensure that they were getting someone who was like-minded and more importantly had a love of Christ. God loved us so much He sent His Son to us. How blessed we are!
