Commit to Discipleship

“On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners (Mark 2:17).”

On hearing what? Jesus was sitting eating with His disciples along with “sinners and tax collectors” and the teachers of the law found this distasteful. They had yet to understand the message Jesus was sharing, a message of love and acceptance.

People aren’t led to change by what you say but by what you do, and Jesus did what He calls us to do in word as well as in deed(s). True disciples are committed to following the example that Christ set.

Seek not to judge but to love.
