Christ’s Pure Unconditional Love

The second candle of Advent represents Love. The word love emanates warmth and commitment, yet the word love is used so carelessly that it gets watered down depending on the situation or the individual it is conveyed too. Love can be self-motivated resulting in selfish acts and insincerity, or it can be true love, love that forsakes him or herself for the needs of others. That kind of love is encompassed in the person of Christ who gave up His life for ours.
