Carried Through the Storm
“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:17-18).”So many changes have taken place lately but are they really changes or are we being led back to the basics? In an ever-changing world it is easy to forget the things of the past but sometimes our memories need to be jostled. Memories can be good or bad but they all serve the opportunity to sharpen our perspective and to appreciate what we do have.Remembering your life before Christ came into it is a reminder of how desperately we need Him to navigate not only today but also future events. Knowing that He is there gives us Someone to rely on who is faithful and who will guide you through challenging times. That does not mean life will be easy but there is significant comfort gained when you know there is Someone who is bigger than you and who knows how everything will end.Life is stormy but storms don’t last forever. Don’t be in too much of a hurry to put things behind you. Store the events of the past several weeks in your memory so that when the next storm comes you’ll be able to find comfort in the ever-faithful God.There is sunshine on the other side because the Son will carry you there.
