Blessed Privilege

“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, (Luke 1:46b-47).”

Of all of the mothers exemplified in the Bible Mary the mother of Jesus demonstrates the heart of a young woman that loved God. Even in the unexpected announcement of becoming pregnant by the Holy Spirit she did not relent but accepted God's will and praised Him for such favor. Mary exclaimed, My soul magnifies the Lord”.

Mary's story is an an example of selflessness, love, humility, and acceptance as she was given the blessed privilege to bring forth God's Son. Praise be to God our Father who gives us life through Jesus Christ.
