Be Rooted in Christ

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’” (Mark 16:6-7)

Throughout last week I’ve spent much time writing about the events leading up to and including Christ’s resurrection. By now you are probably settling back into old routines and patterns but there was a lot that occurred between the resurrection and Christ’s ascension and knowing and understanding these events is vital to our Christian faith.

Death couldn’t hold Him; He rose defeating death with all power. And it was only after His death and resurrection did His disciples believe that He would be raised from the dead. Man can kill the body, but He can’t destroy the soul. What will it take for you to believe? Jesus is alive and we too have a promise, a promise of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is a belief rooted in faith in Christ!
