Attach to the Lord

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;” (Isaiah 49:15:16a)

When a mother breastfeeds her child, an emotional bonding takes place but there are some other benefits that come along with it. For the mother there is reduced stress and better sleep. For the child there is a stronger immune system, fewer digestive issues, fewer infections and much more. Such a connection shows the importance of the relationship of a mother to her child. And so is the relationship with children of God. Just like the mother who is attached to her child, so then is the Lord attached to us. It is a special relationship where God thinks so much of His children just look at the nails in His hands. Those nails represent every one of His children.
