A Season of Optimism
“See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land (Song of Solomon 2:11-12).”
A few days ago we ushered in Spring and with it an opportunity for new beginnings. It has been an unimaginable year but we made it and now it’s time to look ahead as we come out of winter’s hibernation with a renewed sense of awakening and appreciation of the blessing of life. There have been many dark days and spirits are low due to overwhelming loss lending itself to hopelessness and fear. We’ve learned that vanity has no place in suffering and all of our human efforts have been in vain but most of all I pray we’ve learned that life apart from God is nothing.
Enter into this season with optimism and hope, hope that is found in the God who patiently waited and continues to wait for us to come into the newness of life, souls that are aglow with the love of God.
