Joy

“And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.” (Luke 1:14)

Before the birth of Christ there was another miracle that had taken place. It was the pronouncement of a son that would be born to a couple by the name of Zacharias and Elizabeth. What a wonderful blessing this previously barren couple received from the Lord. Something they could never have hoped for came to pass. It is the kind of excitement that we experience in the anticipation of the coming Christ. It is the expectation of the promise not only of His birth but also of His triumphant return!
