Who’s Your Daddy?
It is one of the newest craze of this era, DNA testing. People want to know where they came from, who there ancestors were, and related individuals you may share a common ancestry. But did you know that your identity in Christ is not based on genetic tests or who you are but who you are in Him.In your family you may find things that are far from what God or how God sees you. In Christ you are made new. You are no longer bound to a particular parentage because you have taken on a new persona. You have become one with Him. What that does is give you a new name, a new identity, and a new hope. It is a most precious gift that can’t be bought because the price has already been paid and paid upon receipt. That means upon the confession of your faith (See Romans 10:8-10) you take on your new identity. What a blessing, what a joy, what an honor to be a part of the family of God. How much simpler can that be?“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13
