True Friend

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13)

How much do you love Jesus? Do you love Him as much as He loves you? This scripture makes a powerful assertion about the love of Christ. His love was such that He would willingly give up everything for someone whom He has a special relationship. It was during Passover that Jesus called his disciples friends instead of servants. As Christ followers we are declaring that we are His friends.

Jesus is a true friend that loves us through the good and the bad. That alone should make us want to develop a closer walk with Him.
