The Right Mindset

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:1-2God’s word reminds us of the plans He has for us however it’s easy to lose sight of those plans when we focus on what we are trying to change instead of the One who leads us to change.The things God wants for us are often far greater than we can comprehend but it is when we get outside of God’s purpose that we begin to lose motivation relying on our own strength instead of the strength that comes from God.Our thoughts have a powerful impact on what we will do or what we will not do. Focusing on, setting our mind on things above puts us in oneness with Christ, unified with Him. As such when Satan seeks to thwart your efforts reminding you of past failures you will find the strength to keep looking up because that is where our help comes.So, stay focused, keep your momentum, don’t look back, and forge ahead.
