The Right Conduct
Innocent people are losing their lives based on how someone feels about them and much of it is based on fear. The racial tensions that have risen over the past few years have been exacerbated solely on individual perceptions and ideology and not on personal knowledge. There is nothing godly about this. The bible is clear, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28)”. As Christians we are one in the same, sinners saved by grace and it is that grace that we are to spread to others. How you feel and what you think mustn’t overshadow God’s will. God knew there would be division and strife in our world but you too should know this because the bible tells us what to expect. The bible also provides counsel reminding us of how we should conduct ourselves in spite of what is going on around us. It is okay to have strong feelings and opinions about something and there is nothing wrong with disagreeing with another but your conduct should mirror the heart and mind of a child of God.In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:Who, being in very nature God,did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;rather, he made himself nothingby taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man,he humbled himselfby becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!Philippians 2:5-8
