The Promise of Hope
“And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:7
They look at you and wonder, why are they suffering, I thought they were a believer in Christ. Somehow they missed the message found in 2 Corinthians 4:17; “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all”. The Apostle Paul understood this and endured much suffering, but he never lost his faith in God. Christ suffered and so will we all. Paul’s suffering demonstrates the power of Christ who he depended upon to bring him relief. His life is a lesson to never give up hope. There is a day coming when we will no longer endure the afflictions of this life. It is a hope and a promise that God has given to all who believe.
