The Lord Restores
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)
Let’s face it, life is tough. No matter how hard you try to do the right thing, there is always something or someone seeking to pull you off track. And yes, sometimes we fall short, and God knew that we would. That is why we needed Christ. He was our substitute because we would be condemned save for His death on the cross. It’s hard to keep the law but God offers us grace, and not just grace but mercy and He is able to restore us even when we fall short. Don’t let anyone tell you that they have never sinned, they have. But, the Lord, in His love and mercy gives us another chance to live but not as before but a new life in Christ. That is what Paul means when he says he’s been crucified with Christ. It’s as if it were he who was crucified not Jesus because Jesus never did anything wrong. That is what compelled Paul to live a life for Christ and it should compel us to. When you know Christ, what He did for us all, we too can live a life in Him. Oh that Jesus loved us like that! #theloveofGod #Jesus #crucified #faith #SonofGod #Sonofman #diedforus #liveforHim #LifeInChrist #loverofoursoul #seethesonrise
